Profhilo has become a buzzword for a skin booster, because it’s not a dermal filler or anti-wrinkle injection. Instead, it’s a skin bio-remodelling treatment that delivers intense hydration, improves laxity, and stimulates your skin’s natural collagen production. Think of it as an inside-out skin rejuvenation treatment that enhances your glow without adding bulk or volume.

Made in Italy, Profhilo is backed by EU licensing and rigorous safety standards. It’s ideal for anyone who feels their skin is losing its bounce or looking a little tired and wants a fresher, more radiant look.

How does Profhilo® Work?

Profhilo is a real multitasker when it comes to skincare. Packed with pure, stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) in high concentrations, it works to deeply hydrate and revitalise your skin. HA is a substance your body naturally produces to keep your skin plump and moisturised, but Profhilo takes it to the next level.

What sets Profhilo apart is its clever injection technique. Instead of the traditional grid-like pattern used for tradtional skin boosters, Profhilo is placed into just five precise points on each side of the face. Once under the skin, it spreads out evenly, working its magic to improve skin quality from within. The result? Firmer, smoother, and more luminous skin that looks like it’s glowing from the inside out.

Getting Optimal Profhilo® Results

For optimal results, you’ll start with two treatments spaced four weeks apart. The effects build gradually over 2–8 weeks, delivering a radiant finish that typically lasts 4–6 months. To keep your skin looking its best, maintenance sessions every 3–6 months are recommended—perfect for a year-round glow.

Don't Confuse Profhilo® with Sculptra

Although Profhilo does gently stimulate collagen production, it’s important not to confuse it with Sculptra. While both are designed to rejuvenate the skin, they differ significantly in their ingredients, how they work, and the results they deliver.

Profhilo focuses on hydration and skin quality, while Sculptra is all about restoring volume and structure. Both are brilliant in their own way, but they cater to very different needs.

What to Expect During Treatment

Getting Profhilo is straightforward and takes just 15–30 minutes. Your practitioner will begin by cleansing your skin and carefully mapping out the five injection points. These are strategically chosen to ensure the product spreads evenly and naturally.

Each injection is quick and feels like a tiny pinch or sting - most people find it tolerable, but it is not a comfortable treatment. After the injections, the product gets to work on its own, so there’s no need for massage or adjustment.

You might notice tiny bumps at the injection points right after the treatment, but don’t panic—these usually settle within 24–48 hours.

The beauty of Profhilo is that there’s no real downtime, so you can get on with your day straight after your appointment.

Is Profhilo® like a dermal filler?

Profhilo® isn’t a substitute for dermal fillers but works beautifully alongside them to enhance results. While HA fillers also contain hyaluronic acid, they are designed to restore volume and shape in specific areas, such as the cheeks or lips. In contrast, Profhilo® is injected to disperse evenly across the face, improving overall skin firmness, hydration, and texture.

Does Profhilo® work like anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections target dynamic wrinkles caused by facial expressions, like crow’s feet or frown lines. In contrast, Profhilo® is focused on improving the overall quality of your skin, making it firmer and more elasticity - but it won't stop dynamic wrinkles. However, it works brilliantly in tandem with anti-wrinkle injections.

Profhilo® Aftercare

Most people find they have little to no side effects, but some redness, tenderness, or bruising at the injection points can occur. These are minor and usually disappear within a few days.

While Profhilo is low-maintenance, a little aftercare goes a long way in ensuring smooth recovery and optimal results. Here are the essentials:

  • Avoid touching your face, to minimise infection risks, for the first 12 hours.
  • Skip makeup and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Steer clear of saunas, spas, and swimming pools for 48 hours.
  • Avoid dental treatments for 14 days.
